Bed Skirts

A bed skirt gives the lower half of the bed its own finish, hiding the box spring or storage beneath it. Gathered fabric softens the outline; an embroidered edge adds a more tailored detail.

Measure the Drop

Measure from the top of the box spring or bed base to the floor, then compare that distance with the skirt’s listed drop. Mattress size alone does not determine the right skirt. Lily’s washed linen blend, Stella faux silk velvet and Border Embroidery are a few styles to compare.

Choose a color that connects to your bedding and shams. A long-drop bedspread may already cover the base, so measure before adding another layer.
