What Comes in a Duvet Cover Set?

Most of our duvet cover sets include one duvet cover and two pillow shams. Twin sets include one pillow sham. Full/Queen sets usually include two standard shams; King/Cal King sets usually include two king shams. Standard shams are commonly 21" x 27" and king shams 21" x 34", as shown in Lily, Hera and Stella. A cover-only option includes the duvet cover without shams. Duvet inserts, sham inserts, decorative pillows and extra layers are separate unless the selected listing expressly includes them.

What Are the Duvet Cover Dimensions?

Our standard size guide lists Twin at 68" x 88", Twin XL at 68" x 92", Full at 80" x 90", Queen at 92" x 96" and King/Cal King at 110" x 96". Full/Queen styles such as Hera and Lily use the Queen-size 92" x 96" dimensions. Many of our Queen and King covers are generously cut, also described as Super Queen and Super King. Styles with a combined Twin/Twin XL label or a different size chart can vary. Match the actual cover dimensions to your insert, rather than relying on the mattress-size name alone.

Does a Duvet Cover Include the Insert?

A duvet cover is the unfilled outer layer, like a pillowcase for your insert. Our cover sets do not include a duvet insert. Choose the Duvet Cover or Duvet Cover Set format, then pair it with a duvet insert of matching width and length. A Comforter Set is the prefilled option.

Should I Choose Linen or a Linen Blend?

Choose 100% linen for its natural texture, as seen in Reyes and our European Flax Linen designs. Melinda, Lily and Hera use wrinkle-resistant washed linen blends for the linen look with easier care. The exact fiber mix and care differ by design; Stella faux silk velvet, for example, has a different care routine from our linen blends.

How Do I Finish the Bed?

Start with one print or woven pattern, then repeat a color in your pillow shams, quilt or throw. Reyes’s chambray blue and ivory stripe leaves room for a textured solid layer; Sloane’s antique gold works with warm neutrals.
