Woven in Momostenango
Each piece starts as raw wool from local shepherds in Guatemala's western highlands. It is carded and spun by hand, woven by one weaver at a wooden foot loom, then washed and brushed by hand until soft. No two are exactly alike. A throw can take up to four days to make.
