Favorites from Our Modern Urban Collection
The best feeling after a long day is changing into comfy pajamas and slipping under the covers. At HiEnd Accents, we want to help you make your bedroom a sanctuary from the busyness and stress of daily life. Our new Modern Urban collection is perfect for creating a relaxing mood. It features clean lines, contrasting patterns, and rich textures. We want to share a few of our favorites and explain how to style them.
How can you resist the simplicity of white and gray? It’s subtle, but the woven pattern adds texture to your bedroom. You can layer various shades of gray to add more depth.
Here, we used two pillows with the same woven pattern, along with a few others. Leather pillows, like the white and gray ones featured here, add interest with another texture. The smallest pillow in the front is from our stonewashed velvet line. It’s called a boudoir pillow—we offer it in a few different colors.
If you want to take the gray scheme one step further, use sheets with a gray accent. We offer three gray sheet options right now—one with a solid gray stripe, one with two gray stripes, and another with gray scroll embroidery. Any of them would look beautiful paired with the Fenton.
Our Wilshire duvet is similar to the Fenton, but it features an interesting pattern instead of a texture. The pattern toes the line between floral and geometric, and looks great layered with other neutrals or brighter colors. Here, we opted to keep it fairly neutral—we added the Marilyn duvet on top, a Wilshire pillow sham, and a couple linen Dutch pillows.
Want to up the coziness a bit? Add one of our faux fur or cable knit blankets to make it perfect for a night in.
Hamilton is a darker take on gray. The comforter features soft chenille accents, and the pillows often combine two textures to create an interesting look. We wanted to show two different options for this look—one features a red cable knit pillow and throw, while the other one is monochromatic.
With this bedding set, it’s best to embrace the darker tones and use furniture that matches. For example, in this photo the table, art, and lamp are not a blinding white or light gray. Too strong of a contrast would detract from the peaceful environment you’re trying to create.
Whistler Reversible Bedding Set
Doesn’t the Whistler Bedding Set make you want to curl up and take a nap? The comforter is reversible—one side features a diamond stitched pattern, while the other is plain. This bedding is the perfect base to experiment with new patterns and textures.
Here, we added a few pillows from the Whistler Collection. Our favorite is the Whistler Tufted Box Pillow w/Charcoal Velvet Trim. Its unique shape and charming button are the perfect thing to put in front of the other pillows.
Last but not least, our Chalet Aztec Comforter Set features an Aztec pattern reinterpreted with a gradient of brown tones. If you prefer a warmer palette, the Chalet comforter is perfect for you.
To make the pattern more subtle, we folded the comforter in half and put the Anna Diamond Quilted Coverlet in tan underneath. Sometimes one piece in a solid color can look off, so we added Anna shams (also in tan).
To bring another texture into the mix, we added faux fur pillows. If you feel like something’s missing from your bed, adding another texture in the same color palette is a great way to introduce another element without overwhelming the eye.
